The Jesus Church

In Jesus’ recruitment of Matthew, the tax colletor: Jesus said, “You don’t put new wine into old wineskins”. Interpretations of this, point to the fact that Jesus was bringing something new which did not reason to be true according to the rituals and traditions of official Judaism, the traditions of Judaism could not contain it.

God wanted to bring a new thing to “his children”.  He wanted His children to believe in His son. But they couldn’t see the forest for the trees.

How are the Pentacostals or Baptists or any religion with it’s own traditions, that are put higher than the Word of God any different than the Jews, when Jesus walked the earth.

“The Church” is not the building which you go to on Sunday.  The Church is the entire body of believers, in Jesus as the Son of God.  So why are “ministers of the Gospel, overly concerned with getting people to come to their “church building” instead of preaching the Gospel. Money. But Jesus said, seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.  It should be a modern day franchise, so to speak, of Jesus.

It shouldn’t matter what church building you choose to go to, for they all should be preaching the same Word of God, Jesus.  Isn’t this what God is gonna call you out about on Judgement day, did you follow Jesus or your religious traditions. Did you even bother to find out what Jesus said and did, or did you just accept what your Church building leaders said to be true?

God is coming back for a glorious Church. Not a glorious church building.  The Church is the people.  Just like the government is the people, of the people, for the people and by the people.  We’ve come so far away from this.  Maybe we should look to Jesus to see how we come back to our roots.
