If you have any Native American blood in you, you’ll want to watch this. It’s long and very upsetting, but this may have been one of your relatives. I know I have a grandmother that was raised on an Indian reservation. I hate to think she was put through anything like this, but she probably was. In America there are many stories of how the Indians were placed on reservations so the Europeans could take their land and not pay them for it. There are pictures of Indians being taught to assiimilate into American customs and ways. And yes the Catholic church was heavily involved. But how did the number of Indians decrease so quickly. How is it that they have no legacy now. Europeans were very good at putting groups of people into slavery, and justifying it with religion (not God’s word), thinking they had the right to control people. God said in Genesis 1 man was to have dominion:
26 God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.
All mankind are created in God’s image, no man is a creature.
Genesis 9:9 So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.[a] 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.4 But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood. 5 Surely for your lifeblood I will demand a reckoning; from the hand of every beast I will require it, and from the hand of man. From the hand of every man’s brother I will require the life of man. 6 “Whoever sheds man’s blood,By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man. 7 And as for you, be fruitful and multiply; Bring forth abundantly in the earth And multiply in it.”
